Chief imam of Enagi was stabbed to death check what happened

The Chief Imam of Enagi town, Alhaji Attahiru Alhassan, has been stabbed to death for allegedly having a sexual relationship with jibrin umaru Enagi second wife.

Jibrin, at age of 35, who said to police officer that he have caught the Chief Imam who was 48 years old with his wife on bed at a neighbour’s house.

Jibrin was at the police headquarters in Minna, the state capital, on Tuesday, where he explained what “transpired” on the day he caught the Imam and his wife together.

He explained further that he was passing by a neighbour’s house, where his wife had earlier told him she was going to a toilet behind the compound.He explained that when he did not see his wife after about an hour, he decided to go searching for her and he heard her voice in the neighbour’s house. So  without waste of time I entered the room and met the Chief Imam naked on the bed with my wife. They were sleeping together. I didn’t do anything, I left them and went to my brother’s house to report what I saw, jibrin said. And have been warning the chief imam for sleeping with my wife because that was not the first time he has meet them discussion and people also have been telling me that chief imam is having affair with my wife and i keep observing them my self, on till i have found them together nake.

Jibrin. also explained further that he became very aggravated When the Chief Imam called him for apologies over what is saw that it was an accident. on the process of  discussion, my mind became heated, because we argued with each other and forcefully i collected the iron rod with Alhaji Alhassan and i use it to stabbed him on his neck, which led to the death of the chief Imam and Jibrin run away but he was court at Batati village in Lavun local government area of the state. Angry youths of Enagi town reportedly stormed the Police station in an attempt to kill the suspect but the police relocated him to the Police Headquarters in Minna.

According to the briefing newsmen at the Police Headquarter, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP in person of “Wasiu Abiodun” said the suspect confessed that he killed the Imam out of anger.

Wasiu Abiodun said investigation had commenced into the incident and that the suspect will be taken to court soon.
