KNOW ABOUT NUPE LANGUAGE
Nupe is a language spoken by the Nupe people, who reside mainly in Niger State in Nigeria, occupying a lowland of about 6,950 square miles (18,000 square kilometers) in the Niger Basin, mostly north of the river between the Kontagora and Guara confluents from Kainji to below Baro.
Nupe is a Volta Niger language of the Nupoid branch primarily spoken by the Nupe people of the Middle Belt region of Nigeria it maintains pre-eminence in Niger state
NUPE TRADITION
The Nupe, traditionally is an ethnic group located primarily in the Middle Belt and northern Nigeria, and are the dominant group in Niger State, an important minority in Kwara State and present in Kogi State as well.
ULTIMATE GOAL OF NUPE PAGEANT
Prominent Nupe leaders have expressed concern nover what they describe as the neglect of Nupe culture and tradition. Some scholars have even predicted that in the very near future, many sons snd daugthers of Nupeland may not be able to speak their own language, not to talk of knowing some details about their culture and tradition.
They point out that the rich historical and cultural values of the Nupe people have been relegated to the background as a result of this Nupe people have imbibed western culture as a way of life, Nigeria and indeed Africa.
In addressing this phenomenon that Face of Nupe want to recapture the rich historical and culture values of Nupe the people, Nigeria and Africa.
Condition for all participants must
1. Participant Must be between the age of 17 and 25 years old.
2.Participant must be an nupe lady.
3.Participant must be of good health and character.
4.Participant must not be a married lady or mothers or pregnant.
5.Participant must be able to speak English fluently.
6.Participant must not have tattoos or piercings on her body.
To be considered for the 1st edition of the face of nupe Nigeria beautiy pageant 2019.
